I Must Be Crazy!

I Must Be Crazy! I work at home as a cruise specialist. I never got in this business to get rich and to be honest I am not getting rich. The idea of selling cruise vacations was born of my love for cruising. Since I usually travel solo I am always looking for the best value.
While doing my searches for myself I discovered that I love the challenge of finding a great value. Then friends asked me to help them find good values and this I did for free. I was not an agent then but I gave my friends the information I found and told them to call an agent and book that cruise. That was in the early 90's before I had internet connections and access to much more information. I remember calling cruise lines and waiting on hold for 45 minutes just to get a price for someone else for free.... See.... I Must Be Crazy!
Time moves on and many things have changed. Most of the training classes I take push Sell! Sell! Sell! That is all well and good for the agent who is building a career. I have had my working years. I am retired and living in Florida. I do this for the challenge of finding a great deal for my client. The extra money comes in handy and I enjoy the search. I will never try to sell a client anything but what they ask for.
I like working at home. Lets face it the commute is great. I get out of bed and put on coffee. Then go get ready for the day. I sit at my desk and do what needs doing. If it is a nice day I go work on the patio. I well know that the amount I get depends on the amount of the sale. For me that is not the most important thing. I get my happiness with the challenge. Then when the deal is done I feel great that my client is happy with what I found and they will be back. The  commission check helps but the satisfaction of making my client happy is a great feeling. If all that mean I must Be Crazy! then I will take my crazy world any day.
